Machinery Regulation Roadmap Sprint

We review your existing CE process, identify the actions relevant to Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 and turn the findings into a prioritised implementation roadmap.

Regulation (EU) 2023/1230

20 January 2027

The general application date for the Machinery Regulation.

European Commission: Machinery legislation

Make the transition specific to your business

The main changes may be familiar. The harder question is what they mean for your machines, risk assessments, instructions, technical documentation and internal responsibilities. The Roadmap Sprint provides a focused assessment with a clearly defined scope.

Four steps from current state to roadmap

The sprint moves from understanding the existing process to a concrete implementation plan.

  • Review: establish the products, processes and available CE documentation
  • Gap analysis: compare the current approach with relevant Machinery Regulation requirements
  • Prioritise: assess relevance, risk and implementation needs
  • Plan: define actions, responsibilities and practical next steps

What we look at

The scope is agreed around your product portfolio and existing organisation.

  • Products, manufacturer obligations and conformity assessment procedures
  • Risk assessment, machinery safety and safety concepts
  • Technical documentation, evidence and document structures
  • Instructions for use and assembly instructions, including digital provision
  • Safety-related software, connected systems and protection against corruption under Annex III, section 1.1.9
  • CE responsibilities, approvals, templates and internal interfaces

Retain what already works

Not everything needs to be rebuilt. Findings distinguish between existing arrangements that can be retained, material requiring adaptation, new processes to establish and issues needing a deeper product-specific assessment.

Who the sprint is for

Machinery manufacturers, manufacturers of partly completed machinery, plant builders and system integrators with an existing CE process. Typical participants include management, technical leadership, development, CE coordination, quality and technical documentation.

A defined engagement, remotely or on site

We agree the product scope at kick-off, review the available material, complete the gap analysis and discuss the priorities. The final roadmap identifies the next implementation steps. Further implementation support can be agreed separately.

What you receive

  • A Machinery Regulation gap assessment
  • A prioritised list of actions
  • A concise management summary
  • Your Machinery Regulation implementation roadmap

Deliverables are agreed to match the product, project stage and scope.
