Establish the system boundaries
Identify the machinery, partly completed machinery, components, control systems and supplier packages included in the assessment. Existing declarations and the responsibilities of the manufacturer, integrator and company operating the machinery must be clear.
Assess functional and safety-related interdependence
Machines located next to one another do not automatically form an assembly of machinery. The assessment considers functional interdependence within the production process and safety-related interdependence: how machines work together and whether their hazards and protective measures are linked.
- A common production objective and coordinated process
- Material transfer and dependencies between process stages
- Common or overarching control and operating modes
- Hazards extending across machine boundaries
- Shared protection zones, interlocks and emergency-stop functions
House of Conformity
Developed by juristech, the House of Conformity method makes complex installation structures understandable. A visual overview maps machines, assemblies, applicable legislation and the status of conformity evidence. It highlights existing declarations, incorporation documents, legacy situations and missing evidence, while showing functional and safety-related interdependence.
Evaluate the interfaces
Many risks arise at transfer points, access routes, control interfaces and shared work areas. We identify the relevant interfaces and connect them with the overall risk assessment, safety concept and allocation of supplier responsibilities.
Build the documentation for the whole installation
Individual supplier documents are brought together into a consistent structure. Where an overall conformity assessment is required, the documentation must support the installation as a whole, including its interfaces, instructions and declaration.
What you receive
- A documented definition of the installation and its boundaries
- An overview of conformity status and supplier evidence
- A House of Conformity representation where appropriate
- An assessment of functional and safety-related interdependence
- Interface actions and a structure for overall technical documentation
Deliverables are agreed to match the product, project stage and scope.
Frequently asked questions
Do CE marks on all individual machines settle the issue?
No. The integration can create additional hazards and responsibilities. Interfaces and the overall arrangement require assessment.
Can you assess an existing installation?
Yes. Existing machines, legacy documentation and later modifications can be considered together.
What does House of Conformity provide?
It provides a graphical, structured overview of the installation, conformity status, relationships and missing evidence to support project decisions.
juristech supports technical assessment, regulatory classification and documentation within the agreed scope. Responsibility for product conformity, technical implementation, marking and release remains with the manufacturer or other responsible economic operator. We do not provide representation in legal disputes.
